Turkish Vice President and Speaker of the House visit Indonesia pavilion at Teknofest 2021

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay and Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker Mustafa Sentop visited the Indonesia pavilion on Thursday during the Teknofest 2021 exhibition in Istanbul.

During the visit, state-owned aerospace company PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) briefed the Turkish vice president on its CN-235 and N-219 aircraft as well as the R-80 aircraft project being built by PT Regio Aviasi Industri (RAI).

In addition, Vice President Oktay praised Indonesia’s aerospace technology, according to a written statement from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Ankara on Saturday.

“I fully support the partnership between the Indonesian and Turkish aerospace industries,” said the Turkish vice-president.

At the end of their visit, the Turkish Vice-President and Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly received a model aircraft from PTDI as a souvenir.

Indonesia was the guest of honor at Teknofest 2021, Europe’s largest and most prestigious tech festival.

A total of nine prominent Indonesian educational, research and technological development institutions participated in the event.

Besides PTDI and PT RAI, institutions included the National Research and Innovation Agency, state-owned railway vehicle manufacturer PT Industri Kereta Api Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology, Sepuluh Institute of Technology Nopember, University of Indonesia, Artha Graha Group and Climate Technology. start-up Carbon Addons.

Meanwhile, Teknofest is an event to showcase achievements and forge partnerships between various technology developers ranging from government agencies, research centers and strategic industries to educational institutions.

The event, which runs until September 26, 2021, offers several activities including international technology exhibitions, seminars and competitions.
